Building the infrastructure for AI and the digital future.

Arcem develops data centers in the Nordics and across Europe. Together with end customers and operating partners, we work through the full project lifecycle, from site selection and grid connection to design, construction, commissioning and long-term operations.

How a data center project takes shape.

We develop each project around the customer’s needs, access to power and local conditions. Planning, technical design and delivery are coordinated from the outset, with operations and maintenance built into the planning process.

Understand the location and its constraints.

Assess the site against the customer’s requirements and local conditions.

Site and feasibility

We assess the property, ground conditions, existing buildings, access and neighboring uses against the customer’s requirements. Together with landowners and advisers, we identify the opportunities and constraints that guide further development.

Our data centers shall contribute locally.

Data centers are part of the infrastructure that businesses and public services rely on. We aim to develop projects that also create local opportunities, through work for local businesses, cooperation on surplus heat and thoughtful integration into the surrounding area.

Heat that can be put to use

We will plan for the use of surplus heat and involve local businesses that can use it, as well as potential district heating partners, early in the process.

Together, we will work towards technically and economically viable solutions with a recipient that needs the heat.

Opportunities for local businesses

We will reach out to local suppliers and make them aware of relevant opportunities in construction, technical services and maintenance.

Read more about opportunities for local businesses

Local businesses will have the opportunity to compete for contracts, with clear requirements for expertise, quality and price. We will also follow this up with contractors and partners.

Early dialogue with neighbors

We will initiate dialogue while input can still influence the project. Noise, traffic and the surrounding area are considered from the outset.

It should be straightforward to contact Arcem and find out how input is being considered.

Making good use of land and infrastructure

We will prioritize suitable commercial and industrial sites and seek solutions that limit new impacts on nature.

Efficient use of land, energy-efficient solutions and opportunities to share infrastructure with other businesses will be part of project development.
